Make sure and join in on the live chat on YouTube tonight at 5:00 (MST) when this video premiers. I’ll be in the chat as well to answer questions or just join the conversation. I’ll be adding a little more detail about each of these topics, as well as what my preparedness plans are this year.
Remember the good old days of prepping when we thought about hypothetical disaster situations and didn’t have the same sense of urgency we have these days? Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying NO sense of urgency, I’m saying we thought about these manmade disasters as something we probably had a little time to prepare for.
These days it seems that anything can and will happen, and that something big is just around the corner. It seems as though we are standing at the edge of a cliff, and behind us is a herd of social justice warrior, politicians, and the mainstream media personalities running full speed towards us.
I have always been the type of person that prepares for the worst and hopes for the best, but these days hoping for the best seems like a myopic fantasy. Will it be some sort of full fledged SHTF scenario? Will it be something slow burning that affects us for an extended period of time? Who knows, but it sure feels like change is coming, and it’s coming sooner than most people think.
I make sure and reassess my preparedness plans periodically, but this time it seems to hold more importance than it ever has before. Could I just be paranoid and being a “Doomsdayer”? I suppose so. But I’d rather be a Doomsdayer than have my head buried in the sand with my fingers crossed, hoping everything will be fine.
When you have a leak in the roof, you fix it before is ruins the whole house. Our country has a huge hole in its roof, and instead of fixing it, everyone just grabs an umbrella and waits for the rain to stop. That’s all fine and good until it starts to rain again.
My point is, we can only control what we can control. We need to do everything in our power to do what we can, and then let the cards fall where they may. Reassessing your preparedness priorities won’t give you every answer, but it will give you a better idea about where to focus your time and energy.
Personal Doomsdays, Natural & Man Made Disasters
We know that having a well-rounded preparedness plan means prepping for anything life might throw our way. When it comes to surviving personal doomsdays and natural disasters, there isn’t much we can do but learn and prepare. There is nothing we can do to stop many of these acts of God from happening, but we can (and should) help ourselves to survive them.
Manmade disasters on the other hand are self-inflicted wounds that can be avoided, but all too often are not. No one pays attention until it’s too late. On an individual level there is not much we can do, but as a society we are responsible for letting these things happen.
As a society we have allowed politicians to become corrupt, we’ve allowed big business to infiltrate the government, and we’ve allowed the MSM to dictate how we think and feel. Because life has been so good for so long, we have taken for granted the life and liberty we hold so dear.
This is why I feel that politics plays a big role in preparedness. Unless you’re talking about a Yellowstone eruption or an asteroid hitting the earth, natural disasters come and go in a short period of time. Manmade disasters however tend to have long lasting effects and tend to lead to a domino affect of disasters that follow.
My Prepping Priorities
Below is a list of potential disaster scenarios that I feel are more important than ever. You’ll notice that every single one of these is caused by humans. This is not because natural disasters and personal doomsdays aren’t a priority or important, it’s because those are the basics of preparedness. If you don’t have those figured out, stop reading this and focus your energy there.
This list is not in any certain order. These days it’s harder than ever to say one event is more possible than another. Our acceleration over the cliff is in hyperdrive right now, so none of these scenarios would surprise me more than the others in the coming months or years.
Pandemic & Subsequent Response
Some of you might be saying “I thought you just said no natural disasters”? Well, I’m not so sure the Covid pandemic was a “natural” disaster. And on top of that, there was far more damage done by our government (state & federal) than the virus itself.
I’ll be honest, a few years ago a pandemic didn’t rate high on my list of priorities. While this pandemic seems to be dying down, it has shown us how a pandemic can disrupt our lives. The Covid pandemic was minor compared to pandemics of the past and what could come.
A pandemic with a mortality rate far less than 1% shut down businesses, led to supply shortages, and gave an excuse to governments around the world to wield their power and infringe on people’s induvial liberties. Could you imagine the chaos a pandemic with a mortality rate of just 2 or 3% would cause? It would literally be a TEOTWAWKI (The End Of The World As We Know It) event. Emphasis on “As We Know It”.
Economic Crisis or Collapse
With the way our economy is going, and the way our government has the ability and willingness to postpone the inevitable time and time again, the economy remains high on my prepping priorities list. I don’t see this as something that implodes overnight, but rather something that takes time to develop.
I can see something like this unfolding somewhat like the pandemic did. You hear news about how bad it could get, people either overreact or ignore it, and eventually reality sets in. The government then makes a few kneejerk reactions to try and slow the fall, but it’s too little too late.
The truth is, we really don’t know how something like this could unfold. It could be similar to the great depression that makes life difficult for a few years, or it could mean a complete change to our economic system. An economic crisis (self-inflicted or otherwise) could lead to The Great Reset as I’ll go over later.
The Big Business of Government
Politicians have always been susceptible to bribery and corruption, and big business has always tried to work the system for corporate gains. Look no further than the Rothchild’s, Carnegie’s and Vanderbilt’s. Those men would be drooling right now with the ease at which big business can line a politician’s pockets and affect change in Washington.
Because these elected officials can create finance laws that enrich themselves, corruption and bribery has become somewhat legal. Corporate lobbyists have more power than ever these days because they line the pockets of these politicians and write the laws these elected officials push through.
This video shows exactly what I’m talking about. In the last 20 years popular opinion has literally no influences on policy change in Washington. If you are a corporation however, that number significantly increases.
Other than the obvious, the big problem I see with this is that big businesses like Coke, Amazon and Google are in the business of making money…lots of money. Therefore, decisions they make are based on popular opinion (or perceived popular opinion).
The vocal minority on social media screaming about cancel culture, wokisim and racism affect decisions these companies make. The media and politicians amplify these voices, and in turn these companies’ “standards” make it all the way to Washington.
There is a reason our founding fathers chose a representative republic rather that a full democracy, and that’s the same reason we have the electoral college. When 51% of the country gets to make the decisions for the rest of the country, the mob rules, and decline is inevitable.
Civil Unrest
Civil unrest has been, and will continue to be one of my prepping priorities. This is because almost every SHTF situation could involve civil unrest to one extent or another. These days however, civil unrest is almost a daily occurrence. Racial tensions, income inequality, and people feeling ignored by the system have raised the tension level in this country higher than I’ve seen in my lifetime.
My concern is when do we reach the tipping point when civil unrest becomes civil conflict or civil war? Our elected officials tend to turn a blind eye to some looting and riots, while acting like others are a threat to our democracy.
If it becomes acceptable to burn down cities (and it has) and people feel there is no other choice but to defend themselves, this will escalate beyond civil unrest. I hesitate to say civil war, but with the media and politician’s willingness to fan the flames, it wouldn’t take much to set off the powder keg.
Societal Decay
Popular culture in itself isn’t a “SHTF” scenario, but it can and will lead to them. As I stated earlier, the extremely vocal minority are shaping society. These people voices get amplified, and people are afraid to speak out in fear or retribution. This article from the NYPost states…
This is even worse than a pure democracy where 51% or the people make decisions for the whole country. This means maybe 5% or less of the population (the woke mob) is making decisions for the whole country. Unfortunately, I don’t see this changing until society becomes so dysfunctional there is no other choice.
The China Influence
Like I said in the video, I’m not sure what concerns me the most about China, but their quest for world domination puts them high on my radar. It could be military conflicts, it could be economic issues, or it could be their increasing ties with American companies.
Our politicians and big businesses scream and yell about inequalities here in the U.S. but say almost nothing about the genocide and human rights violations going on in China, and it’s all because of money. It’s good for business to be “Woke” in the U.S. but it’s bad for business to call China out for their crimes.
With this push to implement The Great Reset it seems to me that the stage is being set for WW3. During WW2 you had the Axis and the Allies (the good guys and bad guys). We can assume that countries like China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea will want nothing to do with the Great Reset, thus making them the Axis.
Now before I get the “Doomsdayer” label, I’m not saying we can expect WW3 in the next year or so. What I’m saying is that it seems inevitable in the future. I don’t see any scenario where these countries put down their swords and come along nicely.
The Great Reset
This is a big one for me. I don’t see anyway that some sort of Great Reset is avoidable absent some sort of major uprising hear and around the world. Our country is printing money at a staggering rate, and making decisions that makes me think they know something is coming.
In the image above you can see how these elites what to harness the 4th industrial revolution. It’s important to note that the definition of harness is to control. Under the guise of equality and sustainability these elites want to control every aspect of our lives. If you look at the full chart on the World Economic Forum website, you can see exactly what I mean.
Equality and sustainability sounds great on the surface, but so does the Patriot Act, the For the People Act, and common sense gun control.
For the Great Reset to take hold in the United States it would mean ripping up the constitution. The Great Reset flies in the face of everything the founding fathers were about. Because of this I don’t see an outright pivot to this system, I think it’s more of a “death by a thousand cuts” blueprint that our government seems to like so much.
Hope for the Best, But Prepare for the Worst
In my opinion, all these scenarios lead to changes to this country (and the world) that we can barely fathom. This may take a few decades or a century, but the United States will look nothing like it does now.
The question is what situations are likely to present themselves leading up to that? Civil unrest, civil war, economic issues, world war, and the Great Reset. To me, it’s all on the table.
